If you haven’t heard the latest, over the weekend justice has prevailed upon the behalf of Jim Loose, a father that THSC has been fighting in court for.

Mr. Loose has been the victim of a justice system gone awry and has spent his life-savings, his reputation, and the last 3 years of his life fighting to gain his daughter back after unjustly losing her to his in-laws.

This 3-year court case finally culminated in a 2-week trial where this past Saturday, in an 11-1 vote, a trial jury overturned the temporary orders of an unscrupulous judge.

It’s Not Over Yet

While this victory is certainly a blessing from God and a landmark in its own right, the battle is far from over.

1. There’s good chance that the losing side will attempt to appeal the case.
2. The legal fees that THSC has incurred have been high and will continue to grow if the case is appealed.
3. The Texas Parental Rights Restoration Act still has yet to be passed. Passing this legislation is essential to preventing other unjust court cases from being filed, clogging up the court system, or from ruining families and lives.
