Trust me folks, it’s hard to get more awesome than this.

The painting is from the toy and cartoon series, “Dino-Riders“, a world where prehistoric creatures and scifi warriors live in perfect harmony… well, sorta.

The Lowdown

The basic gist of the series is that 2 opposing factions from the far future, the Valorians and the Rulons, are caught in a time warp and zapped back to the land before time began.

In case it wasn’t painfully obvious enough:

• The Valorians (“valorous”) are the good guys
• The Rulons (“rule on”… get it?) are the bad guys
• Good people ride herbivores
• Bad dudes ride carnivores

The toy line and cartoon series was introduced in 1988. The toys continued for 2 more years, but the cartoon series only lasted for one season. Pity.

I love the imagination that went into this drawing. After all, what could be more awesome than dinosaurs and scifi? I mean, just check out the blow-ups below.
